One quick and easy way to solve many decorating problems at one time is to add the right kind of room divider. There are so many ways they can help you-- giving you added storage and display space while they serve their purpose as a divider. Perhaps you'd like to divide two rooms or areas with a unit that's open on both sides. These are available with arrangements of shelves to hold not only books but flower, accessories, stereo equipment, etc. These open cabinets can give you the best of both worlds, by not only functioning as dividers, but also as unifiers-- and the fact that they are open gives a feeling of more room and light in both divided areas.
If, on the other hand you would like a unit that's closed on one side, you can find one that will add beauty to a home while it serves as a divider. Either way, you can get a unit that divides, stores and displays-- and that's a nice combination. You can also consider using such furniture as a chest to divide a room. This is yet another way to get added storage while you're dividing. If you'd like to look over a fine selection of all furniture for your home. Stop in.

Fabric and carpet experts recently released some basic rules for care, and we're pleased to pass them along. It's part of our continuing efforts to help you, in any way we can, in making your furniture and decorating more useful, more practical and more beautiful. Although we're here to provide you with new furniture and other furnishings any time you need them, we also want you to enjoy and get the most out of the furniture you now have.
So, here are some basic rules for care: Regular vacuuming of rugs and upholstery is one key. Deal with spots and stains as quickly as possible; in trying to remove a stain, never rub it because you might damage the weave. Blot it instead. If you use any kind of spot-removing liquid, test it first on an inconspicuous part before attempting to remove a conspicuous stain. Don't wet upholstery too much, and blot up the excess. One suggestion for removing animal "accident" (which are among the most difficult to deal with) is to dilute them with water and then clean them with club soda or a teaspoon of vinegar in a quart of water. And, remember for a fine selection of furniture, we invite you to make us your headquaters. We look foward to serving you.
To make your bedrooms really convenient, you might want to consider a few of these suggestions to help you. One of the most common complaints about bedrooms is lack of sufficient storage space, and perhaps it's a new dresser or chest that would help. You can consider a whole range of single, double or triple dressers. And when it comes to chests with 3,4,5,6,7 or more drawers, and chests-on-chests to multiply your drawers, plus armoire chests, ect.
Then too, very often, people don't have the right night tables because over the years they've accumulated so many things such as radios, clocks, magazines and books, that their bedside night tables overflow. Night tables of the right size can solve problems and at the same time, add new beauty to a bedroom. Another lack of many bedrooms is enough lamps, both near the bed for reading, and elsewhere in the room. Along with that thought you might want to create a cozy reading area in your bedroom with a comfortable chair, table and reading lamp. That could turn out to be one of the most pleasent retreats in your home. To see lots of ideas for your bedroom, and for any furniture for your home, come in.
Whether your home has a seperate living and dining room, or whether they're together, here's an idea to make the room seem different- yet still have harmony with each other. Whatever colors you have on major items in the living room, use entirely different colors on accessories in that room- and then pick up those different accent colors to use on the major items in the dining room. In this way, the two rooms would have contrast and still be harmonious, as the secondary color in the living room becomes the primary color in the dining room. Thus, you can draw the two rooms together without taking away from the distinctiveness of each.
You might want to use a different backround color in the dining room than you have in the living room, and then you can use the same color that's the backround color in one room on a few separate pieces in other room to give unity. When it comes to furniture for the living and dining room, there are so many interesting pieces on the market today, and we'll be happy to show them to you and discuss your particular decorating problems with you. Stop in and talk it over. We think you'll enjoy seeing all the new furnishing and ideas.
Don't be upset if your living room is not ideally shaped or proportioned. Many people have the same problem- but there are things you can do decoratively to help the situation. For instance, let's say that you have a room that is shaped to squarely. You can do several things to improve its looks. For one thing, you can get furniture that has long, horizontal lines. You might try a long, low cabinet. This will tend to lengthen the room visually.
For a room that's too long- and not intimate enough- you can shorten the room visually by concentrating on the wall that's farthest from the entrance to the room. On that wall, you could use a bright color or a pattern to make the wall "come forward" and make make the room seem more intimate. In such a room, you might also want to break it up by creating severeal seperate areas, with furniture arranged in two or more groupings. Remember that no matter what your decorating problem is, we can help with both ideas and a fine selection. Come on in and look around.
Remember that money alone cannot make a room beautifully decorated. It takes taste and imagination-- and in fact, with taste and imagination, you can improve a room with a limited budget. If you're decorating a room for your teenager or sub-teenager, a good idea is to bring him or her with you when you shop. That way you'll be sure you're getting furnishings and colors they like-- and they'll take more pride in their rooms and take better care of them.
Remember that chairs are as different as people. Be sure that each member of your family has at least one chair that is comfortable to him or her.
